Daniel Stea photo

Daniel Stea is PBG's President and Managing Broker.

Daniel has been one of the top producing East Bay Realtors since 1997 and the only one who is also an experienced Real Estate Attorney.

His services are free to Buyers and do not cost Sellers anymore than the standard real estate commission.

If you need to buy or sell a residential or investment property in 2008 — or to simply talk about the “pros and cons” of doing so — he is here to help.

Professional

Daniel became a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization ("YEO") in 2003, by virtue of having co-founded before reaching the age of 40 an established real estate law firm in Oakland which grossed over $1,000,000 in annual sales.

He became a member of Entrepreneurs Organization ("EO") in 2005, by virtue of having founded a second business — PBG Real Estate — which also grossed over $1,000,000 in annual sales before reaching the age of 40.

Daniel has been a licensed Real Estate Attorney since 1991 and is a member of the Real Property Law section of the State Bar of California and the Real Estate section of the Alameda County Bar Association.

He has been a licensed Real Estate Broker since 1997 and is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors and the Berkeley Association of Realtors.

Personal

Daniel is from a family of six kids born and raised in Seal Beach, California. His mother and father still reside in the family home and continue to be a source of great inspiration to him. Daniel settled in Berkeley after attending college and law school at Santa Clara University. He is an Ambassador of the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce and was recently appointed to its Board of Directors. Prior to founding PBG, which requires him to work the majority of weekends, he was an active sailor and race car driver.

Dan Suitch photo

Dan Suich is an experienced realtor who joined PBG in June 2008. Dan works with buyers and sellers of residential real estate in the Berkeley/Oakland/Piedmont and surrounding areas. “I enjoy helping people buy and sell their homes, because I am myself a homeowner in Oakland, and I know how important a step purchasing my home was in my own life,” says Dan. “Besides being a place to call your own, a home is also a great investment for all sorts of reasons, like the tax deduction for your mortgage interest, leveraged appreciation of the money invested, and protection of the gain from taxes.” Dan is great at finding properties in any price range, and having lived in the area for over 20 years, is very familiar with all the neighborhoods. “There are tremendous values out there, and I leave no stone unturned in finding the right property for my buyer clients.”

If you are selling, Dan will get the best price for your home in any market. “There are two key things to selling any home,” says Dan. “Number one, cleaning up and staging a home properly, including ‘curb appeal’, really make the house look its best and attract buyers’ attention. Think of these things as an investment; they cost only a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, but they can generate many times the outlay in increased purchase price.” Dan also stresses the importance of pricing a home properly. “Many homeowners believe that they will not get the best price for their home unless they list it high. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, pricing the home very carefully, at just below what we believe the current market value is, in combination with staging the home well, will generate the most interest. Getting multiple buyers interested in the home simultaneously, competing with each other, and trying to outbid each other is what sells the home for the highest possible price in any market. It seems counter-intuitive to some people, but it is tried and true, and it works!”

Dan came to real estate after a successful career in the biotechnology industry, where he helped start many small companies as a scientist and an entrepreneur. “I think a lot of the skills that one develops and relies upon in starting a new company and getting it on a stable track are exactly the kinds of skills that are useful and necessary in being a good realtor. Whether it is taking excellent care of your customers and investors, paying attention to the big picture as well as the details, or just plain hard work, grit, and determination, there is a commonality in what it takes to succeed. I am honored to bring my talents to benefit my real estate clients.”

Dan also works with investors on the infill construction of new, executive-style homes in select neighborhoods of the East Bay. “My team and I project that we can generate a 30-50% return for our investors in about a year, building homes with fine finishes, but at the same time controlling costs with our innovative strategies.”

“One of the reasons I got into the investing side of real estate is that I can bring such a benefit to my clients in their pursuit of their own financial success. To make money in real estate investing, you need a strong team to carry out and manage the project. We have a team of talented professionals that handles everything from land acquisition, to design and permitting, to construction, to marketing the finished property in a seamless fashion, which brings tremendous value added for our investors, and creates a truly passive tool for them to leverage their investment.”

Dan is happy to help you with any of your real estate needs, and is always ready to answer questions and provide information. He is continually building his business, and welcomes referrals of clients who appreciate the kind of attention to detail and personal service that Dan offers. Dan can be reached at (510) 910-7265 or at dan.suich@pbgrealestate.com.
