Daniel Stea is PBG's founder and managing attorney. Daniel has been one of the top producing East Bay Realtors since 1997 and the only one who is also an experienced real estate attorney who founded his own brokerage. His services are free to Buyers and do not cost Sellers any more than the typical real estate commission. If you need to buy or sell a residential or investment property — or to simply talk about the "pros and cons" of doing so — he is a "nice guy" and is here to help.

Professional

Daniel is a real estate attorney by trade, having co-founded and sold two East Bay law firms which were dedicated to the defense and prosecution of real estate brokers and investors (including a number of well known Realtors in the Bay Area). He has extensive experience as a trial lawyer in both State and Federal court, having tried or co-chaired numerous cases in Los Angeles, San Francisco and the East Bay with liability levels up to $5,000,000. He has also argued a number of cases in the State and Federal appellate courts which resulted in published judicial opinions, including the landmark decision of Olam vs. Congress Mortgage, 68 F.Supp.2d 1110 (N.D. Cal. 1999).

Daniel obtained his Brokers¹ License and founded PBG Real Estate in 1997. Although he remains a practicing real estate attorney and a member of the Real Estate Section of the State Bar of California which mandates compliance with all necessary MCLE requirements, he now devotes nearly 100% of his time buying and selling properties on behalf of his clients and managing the growing number of Realtors which his company now employs.

Daniel lives a relatively modest lifestyle and passes much of his company's profits on to charity as well as his Realtors. As a result, his company has the seemingly contradictory distinction of paying its Realtors well above the industry standard while at the same time donating an uncommonly high percentage of its profits to local charities.

Daniel became a member of Entrepreneurs Organization ("EO") in 2005, by virtue of having founded PBG Real Estate which grossed over $1,000,000 in annual sales before reaching the age of 40.

He became a member of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization ("YEO") in 2003, by virtue of having co-founded an established real estate law firm in the East Bay which grossed over $1,000,000 in annual sales before reaching the age of 40.

He has been a licensed real estate broker since 1997 and is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors and the Berkeley Association of Realtors.

Daniel has been a licensed real estate attorney since 1991 and is a member of the Real Property Law section of the State Bar of California and the Real Estate section of the Alameda County Bar Association.

Personal

Daniel is from a family of six kids born and raised in Seal Beach, California. His mother and father, having been married since 1954, still reside in the family home and continue to be a source of great inspiration to him. Daniel settled in Berkeley after attending college and law school at Santa Clara University, the Jesuit University in Silicon Valley. He is an Ambassador of the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce and was recently appointed to its Board of Directors. He is a June 2009 graduate of Leadership East Bay and an active member of the Berkeley Breakfast Club. He was active in yacht racing during his youth and, more recently, has partaken in competitive race car driving with limited success.
