Leslie was admitted to the California State Bar in 1977 and has been in private practice, specializing in real estate and business law, in the San Francisco Bay Area continuously since then. She became a partner in the firm of Whiting, Rubenstein, Swager & Levy in 1982. In 1994, Leslie left the Whiting firm and established her own office as a sole practitioner. She became a licensed California real estate broker in 2002.

In the field of real estate law, Leslie has handled cases involving boundary disputes, condominium law, tree cutting disputes, construction defects, escrow problems, real estate broker commission claims, easements, zoning and land use, contracts for the sale of real estate, equity sharing agreements, tenancy- in- common agreements, leases (residential and commercial) and related matters.

Leslie's law practice has involved assisting parties in real estate transactions such as by counseling regarding contract rights and duties, generally, and drafting purchase/sale agreements, easements, notes, deeds of trust, transfer disclosure statements and other real estate documents.

Condominium law has been a specialty of Leslie's throughout her law career. She has represented homeowners as individuals, as well as homeowners' associations. She has handled all aspects of condominium law, including drafting and reviewing governing documents (CC&R's, Articles and Bylaws).

With respect to business law, Leslie has counseled and represented clients in partnerships and real estate joint venture transactions and various contract-related situations.

Leslie has been a member of the Rotary Club of Richmond for 22 years and was its President during 2000-2001. Her other current affiliations are with the Berkeley Association of Realtors and the California and National Association of Realtors. She has been a member of the Soroptimist Club, Contra Costa County Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Program and American Inns of Court. In addition, she is serving as an Officer of the Board of Directors of the Richmond Art Center and previously served on three other Boards of Directors of non-profit organizations.

Leslie's practice has been to pursue out-of-court settlement diligently in contested cases and to help prevent controversy as much as possible through careful contract drafting in transactional matters. Because of her confidence in the efficacy of alternative dispute processes, especially mediation, Ms. Levy expanded her practice to include acting as a mediator.

Leslie is a UC Berkeley alumna (1971) and graduated from the University of Santa Clara School of Law (1977). Her undergraduate degree is in Art History, with an emphasis on the History of Architecture and Bay Area Architecture. She is fluent in French and Hebrew.
