Robert (though born overseas) was raised locally and is truly a Bay Area native, having grown up on the Peninsula, having bought his first home in San Francisco and frequently visiting family in Redwood City, San Ramon and (a new nephew!) in San Jose.

Graduating with a Bachelor in Computer Science from San Francisco State University, Robert then worked for a startup company in Silicon Valley. Working for the same startup for 8 years was thrilling in that everyday was different with many challenges and opportunities (not unlike the business of real estate). A favorite aspect of his startup life was being out of a cubicle and working closely with every department and traveling on the company's dime ;) to places like Las Vegas, Chicago, Boston, Taipei and Tokyo.

While working in Silicon Valley, Robert also volunteered in San Francisco with Project Open Hand (POH), delivering meals to the homebound. Eventually he was able to join POH professionally where, through a capital campaign, he helped the organization to upgrade its computer systems and consolidate its various facilities into a single, convenient headquarters in the Tenderloin and remained on as the Director of Information Systems helping the non-profit staff to make the most of computers and new technological tools.

Robert's first home was a condo conversion project in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. Buying with a friend a (diamond-in-the-rough) two-unit TIC building and converting it into condos was an experience that was both exciting and rewarding. 12 years later, he sold his condo and is now enjoying the pleasures of living in a brand new townhouse designed by David Baker on the Emeryville/Oakland border.

When not helping Buyers and Sellers, Robert enjoys hanging out in various Bay Area neighborhoods, checking out new restaurants and hot spots. Other activities include biking, scuba diving, jogging, tennis and the occasional skydiving. Traveling is also a very important passion, having visited 24 countries (and counting). Preferring the “Lonely Planet” or “Rough Guide” styles of travel, Robert enjoys the local street foods, the variety of architecture and conversations with patrons in out-of-the-way watering holes.

Whether you're looking for new construction or older homes, townhouses in Emeryville, lofts in Oakland, condos near the Lake or a Craftsman in Rockridge or a Bungalow in Berkeley, Robert looks forward to “Helping nice people like you, buy and sell wonderful homes.”
